Week of May 11th

This week we will have our scheduled meeting and continue with our established procedures. All work will be posted in Google Classroom and our meetings will occur using iLearn. We will follow our regular class meeting schedule. 

Office Hours will continue with teachers available from 11am-2pm on Mondays and Fridays for individual questions. Tuesday through Thursday 40 minute check-in sessions will be held based on academic hour, please see the below schedule:
Tuesday- 1st hour: 1pm, 2nd hour: 2pm
Wednesday- 3rd hour: 1pm, 4th hour 2pm
Thursday- 5th hour 1pm, 6th hour 2pm
**All classes are expected to follow this schedule, if a conflict occurs please reach out immediately. 

This week, we are introducing a new theme topic of Violence. This week’s materials will include the text of Romeo and Juliet Act 3, scene 1 and a video of the scene. Please try to review the material prior to your class session. There will be an article and Google Form response, “Hatfield and McCoy Feud,” focusing on a historical American feud- this assignment will be recorded in the grade book as INDEPENDENT PRACTICE. You will also be required to respond to a Participation/Discussion Question related to the topic theme; you may engage your classmates in dialogue by posting/responding to their answers to the question.

The final element for the week will be iXL skills focused on E.1, E.3, and E.5 Analyzing Informational Texts
