Chromebook Checkout at Becker Today

Dear Becker Parents,

Becker school will be loaning a Chromebook to your child during the shut down today. If you need a Chromebook please email, or text your child’s teacher today. We ask that you come to pick up a Chromebook at 4:00 pm today, Wednesday, March 18. Please bring your ID with you. Please wait in your car and a staff member will come to you.

Big Read Kick-Off

When: Saturday, March 7, 11am – 1pm

Where: The Henry Ford Museum, 20900 Oakwood Blvd, Dearborn, MI 48124

Description: The Kick-off will take place in the Anderson Theater and will feature free books and seeds. Introductory remarks by Mayor John B. O’Reilly, Jr., a keynote lecture by Professor Selena Smith of UM-AA on Lab Girl, a presentation on plants by Debra A. Reid, the Curator of Agriculture at The Henry Ford, and a craft for all ages.

Free Vaping Information

Parents and community members who want to learn more about this alarming epidemic are invited to attend a free vaping information session on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. at Dearborn High School.  St. Joseph Mercy Health System will present the session Vaping 101: What’s Important to Know. The session will include information on what a vape is, how it is used, the effects of vaping, and the legal issues surrounding vaping.  Get the flyer here.
