January 21 – 25 More Winter

Dear Parents,

This week we will review our letters and continue with the number 5 and color white.  We will also talk about Martin Luther King Jr. and more winter things.

Eduard had the “All About Me” binder this week and Nour has the binder next week.

Please bring in a paper grocery bag, for us to do a hibernation project next Tuesday. The children may also bring in a small stuffed animal that day.

If Dearborn Public Schools are closed due to weather that includes Haigh half day Preschool.

January 14 – 18 Friends in the Cold

Dear Parents,

This week we will learn a new letter “Nn” and continue with the number 5 and color white.  We will be talking about the animals that live in the snow and ice.

Maya A has the “All About Me” binder this week and Eduard will have it next week.

There will be No School on Monday, January 21st for the Martin Luther King holiday.

If Dearborn Public Schools are closed due to weather that includes Haigh half day Preschool. You will be issued a credit for the day.

January 5 – 11 Winter Wonderland

Dear parents,

Welcome back!  We hope everyone had a well rested and enjoyable break.  We would like to thank everyone for all the holiday presents and treats, each and every gift was very thoughtful.

This week we will be learning a new letter “Mm”, number 5 and the color white.  We will also be talking about Winter and the new year.

Ryan has the “All About Me” binder this week and Maya A has the binder next week.

December 17 – 21 Special Gifts

Dear Parents,

This week we will learn a new letter “Ll” and continue with the number 4 and color red.  We will also be making a special gifts for some special people.

Owen has the “All About Me” binder this week and we will continue the binder after the holiday break with Alexander.

Thursday, December 20–Holiday Sweater Day, wear you favorite or ‘ugly’ sweater

Friday, Decemner 21–“Let’s Get Ready For A Long Winter’s Sleep”  Wear your pajamas and slippers!

We will be having a book exchange on Friday, December 21st.  Please purchase a unisex book, no more than $5.00.  Wrap it and put who the book is from, not to.  If your child does not bring a book they will not go home with a book.

We will also be having a special snack.  Sign-up sheet will on the clipboard on Friday.

Week of December 24 – 28, there will be NO school for the Christmas holiday

Week of December 31 – January 4, there will be NO school for the New Year.

Holidays Around the World December 3 – 7

Dear parents,

This week we will learn a new letter “Jj”, a new number 4 and a new color red.  Also a new month!  We will also talk a celebrations around the world; Kwanzaa, St Nicholas Day, Ramadan, Hanekkah and Christmas.

Cameron has the “All About Me” binder this week and Owen has it next week.

We would like to keep our classroom as dry and clean as possible.  When there is snow/mud on the ground, your child can bring in slippers to wear in the classroom.  Your child will have to take their snowy/muddy boots off and put on shoes or slippers.

Week of December 24 – 28 there will be No school for the Christmas holiday.

Week of December 31 – January 4 there will be NO school for the New Year.

Inventions November 26 – 30

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone is well rested after the little break we had.

This week we will learn a new letter “Ii” and continue with the number 3 and the color brown.  We will talk about all the inventions that we use everyday.  The child will even make their first I phone!.

Maya K has the “All About Me” binder and Cameron will have the binder next week.

We would like to keep our classroom as dry and clean as possible.  When there is snow/mud on the ground, your child can bring in slippers to wear in the classroom.  Your child will have to take their snowy/muddy boots off and put on shoes or slippers.

Dear Parents,

This week we will learn a new letter “Hh” and continue with the number 3 and color brown.  We will also talk about Native Americans, Pilgrims and turkeys.

Scarlett has the “All About Me” binder this week and Maya K. has the binder after Thanksgiving.

Tuesday, November 20th, we will have our child friendly feast.  There will be a sign-up sheet on the clipboard on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday, November 21st, Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd, we will have no school for the Thanksgiving holiday.

When there is snow on the ground, the children need their boots and snow pants in order for all of us to go outside.

November 12 – 16, Haigh school is having a canned food drive.

Tuesday, November 6th, we will have no school for election day.

Friday, November 9th is picture retake.  If you would like your child to have picture retakes, please let me know in the morning.

Spooky Fun October 29 – November 2

Dear Parents,

This week we will be learning a new letter “Gg” and continue with the number 2 and color black.

The children can wear their costumes.  Please no make up, weapons or masks.  If your child doesn’t have a costume, they can use one of our dress up outfits.

John will have the “All About Me” binder next week.

Tuesday, November 6th, we will have no school for election day.
