February 6 – 10 Healthy Bodies

Last week we learned a new letter “Oo” and the new number 6.  We also talked about keeping our teeth nice and healthy.

This week we will learn a new letter “Pp” and review the number “6”. We will also talk about how we have to help each other to keep our bodies healthy.

Our Valentine’s party will be on Tuesday, February 14th.  We will be exchanging cards.  Please write From: (Your child’s name) and To:  “My friend”.  The sign-up sheet will be on the clip board.  The children can wear red and/or pink and/or hearts.

January 30 – February 3 Show Me Your Smile

 

Last week we learned a new letter “Nn” and reviewed the number “5”.  We also talked about Arctic animals and even had an igloo in the room!

Where did the week go?  I forgot the newsletter.  Sorry!

This week we will learn a new letter “Oo” and a new number “6”.  We will also talk about our teeth and how to keep them healthy.  Groundhog’s Day is also this week.  What are you hoping for; 6 more weeks of winter or that spring is right around the corner?  Whatever brings snow is what I’m hoping for!

January 17 – 20 Under the Big Top

Last week we reviewed our letters and numbers and we learned a new letter “Mm” and learned the number 5.  We also talked about winter.

This week we will review our letters, names and numbers.  We will also talk about Martin Luther King and the circus.  We will face paint the children’s faces on Friday.  Let us know if you do not want your child’s face to be painted.

We will be going outside, this is the weather gets warmer and it is not raining.

Please remember to bring an extra pair of shoes or a pair of slippers for your child to change into.  Our classroom will get wet if they wear their boots in the classroom.

January 9 – 13 Winter Wonderland

Welcome back and happy New Year!

Last time we were in school, seems so long ago, we learned a new letter “Ll” and continued with the number “4”.  We were also busy little elves working to get a special someone’s gift finished.  I hope you all enjoyed them.  The children were so excited to give them to you.

This week we will review our letters and numbers and learn a new letter “Mm” and learn the number “5”.  We will also talk about winter.

Please remember to bring an extra pair of shoes or a pair of slippers for your child to change into.  Our classroom will get wet if they wear their boots in the classroom.

There is no school on Monday, January 16th, for the Martin Luther King Holiday.

December 19 – 23 Wrapping It All Up

Last week we learned a new letter “Kk” and continued with the Number “4”.  We also talked about different holidays and celebrations around the world.

This week we will learn a new letter “Ll” and continue with the number “4”.  We will be busy working on a special gift, card and wrappings.

Please remember to bring an extra pair of shoes or a pair of slippers for your child to change into.  Our classroom will get wet if we wear our boots in the classroom.

On Thursday, December 22nd, we will have a book exchange.  If you want your child to participate, please purchase a book for no more than $5.00 that a boy or a girl would like to receive.  Wrap it and put a tag on it that reads To: My friend, From: (Your child’s name).  Your child will go home with a book only if they bring in a book. It will also be wear your ugly sweater, if you have one and we will have a special snack.

On Friday December 23rd, we will have a pajama, cookie decorating party with a festive movie. The children can wear their pajamas to school, please bring other shoes or boots if your child wears slippers.

There will be no school December 26th thru January 6th for the holiday break.

December 12 – 16 Celebrations Around the World

Last week we learned a new letter “Jj” and introduced a new number “4”.  We had “Papa Doug”(Harper’s grandpa) read us “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

This week we will learn a new letter “Kk” and continued with the number “4”.  We will also talk about different holidays and celebrations around the world.

When it is snowy or wet outside, please have your child change their shoes before coming into the classroom.  They can leave a pair of slippers here at school and wear them during the day.

December 5 – 9 Jingle bells, gingerbread and poinsettias

Last week we learned a new letter “Ii” and finished up with number “3”.  We also made a shape pizza.

This week we will learn a new letter “Jj” and a new number “4”.  We will also start decorating our classroom for the holiday season, so the children may not be bringing a lot of art things home (they will before the holiday break).

Thursday, December 22nd   and Friday, December 23rd will bring a lot of fun activities.
