Wednesday is Halloween. We will be celebrating at school with a parade in the afternoon. It will be outside if the weather allows. Students may NOT wear their costumes to school, but may bring them and change into them in the afternoon.

Just a reminder that tonight is movie night at McDonald! If you are already a PTA member it is free to you! If not, it is $10 per family. The movie playing is Hotel Transylvania 3.

The brainstormers returned to our school this year and our very own Mohammed was chosen to be the ferocious alligator. Students can submit writing pieces and the brainstormers will return to perform the chosen pieces February 26th. Remember, think it up and write it down!

In addition we will be learning about plural nouns this week and will have our spelling and grammar test on Friday as usual. Make sure the spelling sentences and grammar packet get completed for Friday!

TOMORROW, October 23rd, will be PICTURE DAY! If you would like to order pictures you must bring in the form (with tax added) or order them online using our school code on the order form.

Please make sure you are practicing multiplication facts at home as well. We will continue to use these all throughout the year.

Finally, this Friday, October 26th, the PTA is having a movie night! This is free to PTA members or $10 for those wishing to join. Students may wear costumes. Be sure to follow the school rules about costumes.

We all enjoyed the picnic today. It was a great reward and the kids worked hard for it! Thanks to all who brought in snacks! The weather was perfect.

Today, October 17th, will be a late start. Please make sure you come to school one hour later than usual.

Our class has worked very hard and made it to our next reward! They have chosen to have a class picnic. We are planning this for Thursday but will do Friday if Thursday ends up having bad weather. If students would like to bring in something for the whole class they are welcome to. I plan to bring something for everyone as well.

Today, October 12th, is a half day for students. Dismissal is 11:45.

Our school is once again getting snacks for the students. These are healthy snacks that are provided Monday-Thursday. For tomorrow and each Friday please continue to have students pack a snack. It is okay for students to continue to bring a snack in addition to the one provided.
