Week of December 17th
It is our last week before break! I hope you enjoyed the nice weather this weekend. We are looking at weather patterns for science and this is not what we expected for December. Students this week will be finishing up another multiplication unit with a test on Thursday. Our spelling words this week are:

On Friday we will be doing cooperative learning with the other third graders. It will also be pajama day so students can wear their pjs to school.
Announcements for the week of December 10th
This week there is a late start on Wednesday, December 12th. This means that students should not arrive for school until 9:30.

On Friday, December 14th kindergartners do not have school. Our third graders and everyone else in the building will still have school, this is just for kindergartners. Their teachers will be going to some training.

This week we have a few things going on! On Wednesday our Madrigal Choir students who have turned in their permission slips are going on a field trip to Emagine in Royal Oak. They will be back in time for lunch so they do not need to bring a packed lunch. On Thursday we will have Literacy Night from 4:30-6. Students can play games, and have fun with reading!
Week of November 26th
Welcome back! I hope that you enjoyed time with family over your break. I have a few announcements for this week.
First, we are starting a new unit in math. This will focus on multiplication again, so please make sure you are practicing multiplication facts each night.
Second, there is a parent meeting on screen time tomorrow morning from 8:45-9:45 for those who would like to attend.

Weekly Announcements
Happy early Thanksgiving! This week is a short two day week because of the long weekend for the holiday. There will be no school on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday this week. Because it is only two days, we will NOT have any spelling words or grammar this week. We do, however, have a math test tomorrow. The study quizzes will go home tonight along with the workbooks we have been using in class for them to study from.
Week of November 12th
I have a few announcements for this week! Conferences are this Tuesday and Thursday. I am staying after school until 7:00 to meet with all of you. I have enjoyed the conferences I’ve had so far and look forward to seeing the rest of you this week. I will remind you of your conference time on Class Dojo and also remind your son/daughter.

Week of November 5th
I cannot believe it is already November! Time is flying by! We are starting our second quarter this week. Conference forms have all gone home and start at the end of this week with continuations next week as well. I need all of these back so I can plan for conferences accordingly. I look forward to meeting with all of you and discussing your children!

Conferences
Conference forms went home today. Please check to see if the time and date works and return the form to me as soon as possible. Students who bring their form tomorrow receive two points on Class Dojo. If your scheduled time or date doesn’t work then we can find a new one that will.
Also, just a reminder that tomorrow is a half day. Students will be dismissed and need to be picked up at 11:45.
