Welcome to Third Grade!

Welcome to third grade! I am so excited to be in third grade again this year and work with each and every one of you. Though things are still changing, I did want to put out a tentative schedule so that you can plan accordingly.
Over the next few weeks we will be NWEA testing. I plan to test one subject per week spread out over two days each. We start this week with Language Usage.
Additionally, our specials schedule is as follows:

Monday: Gym & Music (remember gym shoes!)

Tuesday: Media

Wednesday: Art

Thursday: Enrichment and Book Checkout (remember your library books!)

Friday: Music

If there are any changes to these schedules I will be sure to let you know. The best way to reach me (and where I will send out reminders and communications) is on ClassDojo. This is also our system for points for behaviors. This replaces the clip chart from previous years.

A Few Announcements

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th, we will have a Mother’s Day shop set up in the media center. Students will get to shop for things for their mothers or a special woman in their lives. Items range in price from 50 cents to $5. Please send them with money tomorrow for them to shop if possible.

Also, our snacks have stopped coming in the coolers because it is now May. If students would like snack they will need to bring their own for the rest of the year. Please do not send in cookies or juice as these are not a good snack for the classroom.

If students are fasting for Ramadan they must bring in a note in third grade. This note needs to be signed by Mom or Dad.
