Welcome to a new school year! I am very excited to be teaching third grade again with so many wonderful new students. We will be starting NWEA testing tomorrow (9/6) so please make sure that we are going to bed on time and eating a good breakfast in the morning!

As our last day of school has arrived I want to send all of you off with this flyer about STEM at the Farmer’s Market in Dearborn! Happy summer!

As school is finishing up I have a few announcements to make. Green Club is selling water bottles to raise money and help our adopted fish! They cost $5 and are sold before school and after school. Also, yearbooks are in. An order form is coming home today. Yearbooks are $10. Please make sure your child has a pencil as we have run out of our class supply and this seems to be an issue lately.

Yesterday a letter when home regarding our dates for M-STEP testing. We started today and will continue Friday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We will be NWEA testing following this. Dates are not finalized for this test yet.

Today is the last day to purchase a rose for your Mom. Each rose costs $2 and will be handed out on Friday, May 11th.

Below is the link to the information about a technology training session being held at Fordson for assistance with: setting up email accounts, subscribing to teacher blogs and their school blog , using their parent connections accounts,  accessing DPS resources such as ‘clever’ from our district webpage, and using social media.

Last week was our last week of snacks provided for the students. For the remainder of the school year students will need to bring in their snacks for snack time. Thank you.

Science night was awesome! Thanks to all who showed up and the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum who helped put it on!

Come join us tonight, April 17th, from 4:30-6:00 for science night! There will be fun science activities for the whole family and the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum is coming!

If you have a child that is 5 or will be 5 in the fall then come to kindergarten round up on Wednesday morning, April 18th, from 8:45-9:30!
