January 14

Week of January 14th

I hope you enjoyed the weekend! This week is the last week of this quarter. Here are the plans for this week.

Our spelling words this week have a silent w- or k- at the beginning of the word. They are:

write

knife

knee

wreck

knew

traits

compliment

suggestion

skip counting

farming

In addition, we are learning about area, how Michigan grew, and we are working on completing our narrative writing.

This week there is a half day for students on Friday. Dismissal will be at 11:45 instead of 3:35.

Also, we are NWEA testing. This week we plan to finish our language usage tests and begin our reading tests. Please stress the importance of these tests with your child. They need to make sure to go to bed early and eat a good breakfast before testing.
