REMINDER-You must be approved to begin typing the research paper tomorrow. This means an approved claim statement, works cited note cards, note cards of paraphrasing, summaries, and direct quotes, 3 Sources, and a COMPLETED tree map! If you have not fulfilled these requirements, you will not be allowed to begin typing!
IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED YOU BRING A FLASH DRIVE TO CLASS EACH DAY TO SAVE YOUR ESSAY! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EMAIL THE PAPER TO YOURSELF AS A WAY OF SAVING THE DOCUMENT.

REMINDER-Make sure that you have all components of the research paper completed and approved. All students who are approved will begin typing on Thursday. Those who are unprepared will not be allowed to begin until they have met the requirements! This will cause you to fall behind.

- REMINDER-Mrs. Lichocki will not be here tomorrow, Friday, March 7th. Please be on your BEST behavior for the sub. All hours, EXCEPT 1st will meet outside the doors to the auditorium. Ms. Sewesky (the sub) as well as the other 9th grade ELA teachers will be waiting for you. If you are not sure who Ms. Sewesky is, ask another teacher!

- While you are watching, compile evidence about each suspect.
- List things like, motive, events that took place before the murder, places, times, dates
- Once you have decided who YOU believe to be the murderer, write a 3 pronged claim statement with a counter argument. You should use your EVIDENCE to SUPPORT your CLAIM!

REMINDER-Continue reading your 3 sources and summarizing, paraphrasing, and directly quoting the text on your notes cards. Remember, all note cards MUST have parenthetical citations!!!

Monday will be SSR day due to the ACT/MME Testing Schedule. Therefore, you must bring all of your sources to class. You will be required to use your BOOK source for SSR.
