PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • This week we started an ocean theme. We read a book about sea turtles and filled in a can, have, are chart with all of the fun facts we learned about turtles.  After, we made a sea turtle craft.
  • The children drew in their journals.
  • We practiced fine motor skills with puzzles, scissors, fine motor jars, and lacing activities.
  • The children worked on identifying the colors orange and green with interactive color stories.
  • The children practiced asking for more and for a turn with the bubble gun. This is one of our new favorite activities.
  • We practiced counting and number recognition with an under the sea counting book during which we have to count ocean animals and match a number.
  • The children painted underwater scenes at the easel.
  • We had a practice fire drill – the students did a great job!
  • The students worked on identifying the first letter of their names and tracing an outline of the letter.
  • We played on the playground with Mrs. Trisha and Mr. Joe!
