PEEK AT THE WEEK
- On Monday we had therapy group with Mr. Joe and Mrs. Gallery. Joe helped us make our very own puffy paint which we used to paint all sorts of shapes. Mrs. Gallery read us “Snowman at Night” and had a snowman craft for us to make.
- We conducted our science experiment for the science fair. We answered the question… “What water temperature dissolves hot chocolate mix the best?” We each had a turn to help pour, stir, work the timer, and taste our hot chocolate.
- The students practiced counting and number recognition with touch math and the poem “5 Little Snowmen”.
- The children drew in their journals.
- We painted with purple paint on our letter ‘P’ alphabet pages.
- We worked on vocabulary words “go” and “stop” with toy cars.
- The students sorted penguins by size.
- We had a chance to walk around the building and check out the other science experiments that children in the building conducted.
- We practiced matching numbers with the story “The Hungry, Hungry Penguin”.
- The children mix red and white paint at the easel to make pink hearts to decorate our classroom for Valentine’s Day.
