Newsletter for the week of May 28th

PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • We continued letter of the week by listening to letter “X,Y,Z” songs and reading books about things that start with the letters “X,Y,Z.” The students completed their letter “X,Y,Z” book page by adding a an x-ray, the color yellow, and a zebra
  • We practiced sorting bears by color
  • We worked on building stamina during read to self time
  • The students practiced their fine motor skills with all different tray activities
  • The children practiced making a request for more bubbles
  • We had therapy group with Ms. Staci, Mrs. Gallery, and Ms. Deb. They set up all sorts of different stations for us on the playground.  We made boats and watched them float, went fishing, played on the scooters, crawled through the tunnel, and wrote with chalk on the sidewalk
  • While we always work on building independence we have been working extremely hard this week to do things for ourselves, such as throw away our own trash after meals, wash our hands at the sink, hanging up our own lunch shirts, and putting away our toys
