Newsletter for the Week of April 23rd

PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • We continued letter of the week by listening to letter “T” songs and reading books about things that start with the letter “T.” The students completed their letter “T” book page by adding a train
  • The students had therapy group with Ms. Staci, Mrs. Gallery and Ms. Melanie. They used their fine motor skills to create a cute lady bug craft in which they traced their hands and used glue to put everything together.  Gallery had students practice saying numbers, request more supplies, and say “all done” when they were finished.
  • We sang “Going on a Bear Hunt” and went through the movements of the song. The children love when we get to the part where we see the bear and they get to yell while they pretend to run away
  • We played outside on the playground several times this week! One of the days Ms. Kim helped us blow bubbles.
  • The children painted paper plates to make flowers to hang with our rain drops on the bulletin board outside our classroom
  • The children worked on letter recognition with our class name book and match the first letter of everyone’s name to their picture
  • Miss Ashley has a birthday this weekend so we made brownies on Friday to celebrate! The children helped read the directions, measure the ingredients, stir the batter, and serve them when they were finished
