PEEK AT THE WEEK

• We continued letter of the week by listening to letter “H” songs, reading books about things that start with the letter “H”, using bingo markers to outline the letter, and continuing our letter book by adding a house page
• The children drew in their journals
• We worked on building stamina during read to self time
• The children completed a science experiment to see if you can paint with m&m water… you can!
• We practiced counting and number recognition with an interactive Christmas counting book
• The children rolled a die, counted the dots, and then found the matching number during a roll and cover math game
• The students practiced color recognition with a reindeer colored nose cookie sheet game
• We also practiced color recognition with the story “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You Hear?”
• The children made Christmas song request using the prompt “I want…”
• We sang jingle bells and shook bells along with the song
