PEEK AT THE WEEK
- This month we are learning all about weather and the four seasons. This week we focused on summer.
- We read interactive books about what people wear, do, and see during the summer months.
- We wrapped up our spring week by writing about what the weather and what we can wear and do during the spring months.
- The children practiced their counting and number recognition skills with touch math and the book “Five Green and Speckled Frogs.”
- We made fruit loop necklaces and noise makers with Mr. Joe and Mrs. Gallery during our therapy group this week.
- The letter of the week was “v.” We completed handwriting and book pages.
- The students finished painting their four season trees with q-tips.
- We read, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” with props. After the story we made our own hungry caterpillars inspired by Eric Carle. We tore different shades of green paper to make the bodies.
- The children played in the oatmeal sensory bin.
- The weather was so nice on Friday we took a walk around the outside of the building because the playground was too muddy to play on.
Don’t forget to keep sending in your book slips for our train in the hallway!
