PEEK AT THE WEEK

• We read a story about animals that live in the cold
• The students finished a snowman art project
• We practiced sorting by colors
• We talked about objects you would find in animal homes and objects you would find in people homes
• We read a story about penguins and filled out an Are, Can, Have graphic organizer
• The children made a penguin craft
• We talked about fun things to do in the winter and then the children wrote about their favorite winter activity
• We practiced following directions with a cookie sheet magnet game
• The students used oatmeal on their letter “o” page for their alphabet book
• We practiced vocabulary words “go” and “stop”
• The students practiced number recognition with a feed the penguin game
• MohammedAli’s birthday is on Saturday so we celebrated by singing to him and playing a cupcake game on the whiteboard

Upcoming Events

• Miss Ashley will be out the morning of Tuesday, January 24^th and all day on Wednesday, January 25^th for district training
• Science Night Thursday, January 26^th @ 6:00
• ½ day Friday, January 27^th students attend in the morning only
