Newsletter for the Week of November 14th

PEEK AT THE WEEK

  • We practiced our fine motor skills with puzzles, peg and button jars, and lacing activities.
  • The children continued their letter book with the letter “j” and decorated their page with jewels.
  • We read “I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie” and then made a pie craft with paint and cinnamon for a festive scent.
  • The students practiced counting to 5 with a pocket chart game called 5 Little Turkeys.
  • We read a story called “Thankful” and then made a turkey project which we added what we are thankful to.
  • The children drew in their journals.
  • We went outside for recess to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having.
  • We sang a new Thanksgiving song and learned a new turkey dance 🙂
  • The students worked on their book handling skills during read-to-self time after snack. Many of the students are showing an increased interest in books lately and it is so much fun!
