Algebra I:

Watch the video on “solving quadratic equations by factoring”. Then complete the assigned worksheet and the IXL BB.8. Make sure you upload your work by the due date

Algebra II:

Watch the video on “translations on parent functions”. Then complete the worksheet. Make sure you upload your work by the due date.

Algebra Concepts:

Watch video on Finding Slopes from two points. Then, complete IXL and the following worksheet.

Algebra I:

Watch the video on finding the zeros of the quadratic equation. Then, complete the IXL and the assigned #1/#2 worksheets.

Algebra II:

Watch the video on the unit circle. Then, (1) solve a worksheet and practice quiz, (2) play a game called banana fight and (3) complete “Label the unit circle with the radian and degrees.

In Algebra concepts, students are going to work on solving one-step and two-step inequalities/equations.

In Algebra 1, students are continuing to work on exponents and solving systems of linear equations.

In Algebra 2, students will work on quadratic functions (graphs of quadratic functions in vertex form and in standard form).

In Algebra concepts, students will have a test on Friday, December 8. Here are the topics that students will be tested on: solving one-step equations, solving two-step equation, greatest common factor, least common multiple, and solving inequalities.

In Algebra 1, students are continuing to work on analyzing graphs (scatter plots), plotting points from a table, and determining the correlation between any two values.

In Algebra 2, students will work on the parent function and transformations.

In Algebra Concepts, Students are learning about solving one-step equations using the inverse operations. In Algebra I, Students are learning about different forms of linear equations, using the steps needed to graph and identify the various parts. In Algebra II, Students are learning about parallel and perpendicular lines using the characteristics of the slope.

Today in algebra concepts, students practiced adding and subtracting fractions. In algebra 1, students understood how to get the slope from two given points. In algebra 2, students worked in groups to solve the systems of inequalities.  

Today in algebra concepts, students worked on completing the pyramid to combine like terms. In Algebra 1, students practiced adding/subtracting/multiplying expressions. In Algebra 2, students finished the notes for solving systems of inequalities. Tomorrow is the first test for all the math classes for this marking period.

In Algebra Concept, students practiced  identifying expressions, combining like terms and adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing integers.  In Algebra 1, students learned how to identify relation/function, domain/range and function notation. In Algebra 2, students learned how to solve systems of equations by graphing, substitution and elimination.

This week, in algebra concepts, students learned how to evaluate expressions using the order of operations. In Algebra 1, students learned how to evaluate algebraic expressions with a variable, write an algebraic expression from a word phrase and vice versa. In Algebra 2, students learned how to identify and use properties of real numbers and the relations among numbers.
