Happy November

We started off November very busy. Kinders are learning all about TREEs this month !! They are so important to us and our environment. We looked at different kinds of trees and created 3 different kinds out of blocks.

4th graders did a great job on their spiders made of pine cones. They drew a spider on Google Drawings with facts they learned from an informative video.

5th graders created a house that is unique to them. And oh, how beautiful they turned out. (pictures coming soon)

*Conferences are Coming soon. I will be in the Computer Lab if anyone needs to conference with me on Tuesday, Nov. 12 4:00-6:30

All about gourds

Our Young 5’s and 4th graders did a pumpkin investigation today. We learned about gourds, measured, weighed, and analyzed them. Do they sink or float? We also got to feel what a large pumpkin stem and leaf. They came straight from MY pumpkin plant at my own house. They loved how prickly it was.

Happy Fall Y’all

We are starting this month off with STEM activities. Actually, we will be STEM-ing and creating all month long. It’s all about Apples with these little. They had to draw and design an apple stand so that they don’t rot on the ground.

Jelly Bean Fun

What’s your favorite Jelly Bean? Well, 4th graders took a poll on Google Classroom and used Google Sheets to find out in a grape and then had a fun STEM activity to make shelter for their Peeps, using toothpicks and jelly beans.  They used the Engineering Design Plan for their structure. It was sweet and fun!
