Suggested ideas for 4th and 5th graders:

  1. Look to the right for links that I have listed and feel free to do some coding on Coding.org
  2. There are fun websites on the right to play math games to sharpen your Addition, Subtraction and Multiplication skills.
  3. Typing Skills! It is a good time to become more familiar with the keyboard. Try Typing.com through CLEVER or https://toybox.tools.bbc.co.uk/activities/id/activity-dance-mat-typing/exitGameUrl/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Fguides%2Fz3c6tfr

HAPPY SPRING! I will be sending updates of different STEAM activities you can do at home.
IDEA # 1: Go outside and observe plants and animals

Data Directions for Science Activities:
1. Draw & label your observations.
2. Then write a claim and evidence about what you noticed.

3. Use Google Drawings, Doc, or even Slide to show your work. You can SHARE it to me when you’re done.
4. Have Fun!

Example:
Claim: Spring is here.
Evidence: The weather is getting warmer and I noticed that the grass is starting to turn green.

Challenge: How can you write about signs of spring that you are noticing?
Be sure to use your senses of sight, hearing, touch, and smell to make your observations. Â
