The Detroit Red Wings Representatives came to River Oaks to talk to us about Working hard and staying healthy. Yours truly was chosen to suit up and be the goalie against our students. Unfortunately for the teachers’ team, I let in 3 out of 4 goals. It was a ton of fun!!
Students are learning all about why Computer Science is so important. We are introducing the concept and practicing Programming and going to CODE.org.
Our Kindergartners are Rock stars!! They are using their 5 senses with Pop Rocks Candy. It was a ton of fun to see, hear, feel, smell, and finally TASTE their candy!! 
It’s my FAVORITE time of year! Fall and Halloween. We are definitely in the spirit here at ‘Monster’s Computer Lab’.
My ‘sweet’ little Kindergartners learned all about how a pumpkin grows out of the ground and how they are used during this time of year. They also practiced typing pumpkin words on the keyboard.
My 4th and 5th graders worked in small Teams on a STEM project designing and building a Pumpkin Catapult. It was very fun and those pumpkin candies went far!
We are off and running in Technology and Science Enrichment !
In Kindergarten, Students are learning how to use the mouse, drag and drop, and how to log in independently.
In 4th grade, Students are applying Google Classroom and started to use Google Drawings with a fun Halloween Project.
In 5th Grade, Students are defining Technology. They are researching an item that has changed in time through modern technology.
I’m so excited to start the year so well! We are going to learn, explore, think, create, design, and HAVE FUN!
