Continue practicing your basic facts whether they are simple or 2-digit +/- facts or multiplication and division. You may either practice orally with a parent or older sibling, go online (xtramath.org), or do the weekend packet.
Possible Unit 2 test dates: November 22 or November 25. Study Guides will go home the day before.

Living Things Project
Mrs. Kiss’s and Mrs. Washington’s class
Research the first 8 categories (up to Adaptation) of your animal. Answer as many questions as you can. Remember, the more details you have the better your description will be.
Ask your parents to take you to one of the Dearborn Public Library branches and check out books on your animal. It’s FREE!!! Please record the title and author(s) of the books that you are using. Bring your books to class to continue your research. If you have any questions while working on your research at home, you can always reach me at kisso@dearbornschools.org.
You may also do your research on the internet, but stay safe. Please, write down the name and address of the website you’re getting your information from.
Mrs. Kiss: I will collect your notes on Monday, November 11.
Mrs. Washington: I will collect your notes on Tuesday, November 12.
Have fun!

WELCOME!
Welcome Students and Parents!
I hope you had a fun-filled and safe summer. I hope that you learned a lot, too. – Yeah, you know, we don’t only learn in school. And we don’t stop learning after we’re done with school. Duh! But you already know that. – I hope that you are ready for the 4th grade challenge and you are coming in with an open mind.
This year will change your life. Literally. First of all, you will add a digit to your age (unless you already did that in the summer). How often does that happen in a person’s life? Second, you will have a brand new teacher. Me!!! That, too, only happens once in your lifetime. In addition, you will get to know a few new people. It is always fun to make new friends, isn’t it? Finally, you will find out answers to many secrets. 4th grade is full of useful knowledge that you will need for the rest of your life. Just come in on Tuesday and look around. I bet you will see many strange things that will make you scratch your head. But you know what the cool thing is? That you will unlock all those secrets.
So, bring your best smile, your best heart, and your best attitude. You will not need anything else.
See you on Tuesday!
Your new teacher,
Mrs. Kiss
