Becker School will be distributing chromebooks on Friday, March 20 at 1:00 pm. This is the final day to pick up a chromebook if you have not yet received one. We are only loaning one Chromebook per family. Please email your child’s teacher if you plan on coming to Becker to pick one up tomorrow at 1:00pm. Thank you!

Dear Becker Families,

Please join us for Family Night with your children on Wednesday, March 11 at 3:35 pm in the Becker gym. We will have vendors from the community coming in (ACCESS, LAHC, National kidney Foundation) as well as a fitness instructor from Crunch that will lead two fitness sessions. We will also have GoNoodle sessions, Nutrition Activities, a Raffle, Healthy Snacks and a Parent Survey. This is a free event. We hope to see you all there!

Dearborn Public Schools requires English Language Learners to be tested annually on the mandated state assessment.  Your child will participate in the WIDA ACCESS test.  

Testing will begin February 3 to March 20, 2020.  This test assesses the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of ELLs. Kindergarten students will use a paper/pencil version of the test, and students in Grades 1-3 will take the listening, reading, and speaking portion of the test online.  The writing will be a paper/pencil version. For fourth and fifth graders the test will be totally online.  

Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and has a good breakfast.  Thank you for your continued support.

WIDA ACCESS begins February 3rd and ends March 202, 2020  The majority of students in 1st-5th grade will take the assessment online.  Kindergarteners will take the test one-on-one using a test booklet.
