This week is the last week I am assigning official work! If your child finishes everything, then they will not have any graded work the last week (6/8/20-6/11/20).

This week I will be in the building for a few days completing some teacher duties and cleaning/packing our room for the summer. Please keep this in mind if I do not answer in my normal timely fashion.

I had planned to stop by Friday, but I have to move it to Saturday. Nick’s work conference got cancelled for next week, so they moved it online for this Friday afternoon into the evening. Anyway, I plan to start heading to my first house about 2pm THIS Saturday 6/6/20. I will be bringing by a summer goodie bag I made. I know some of the kids may want to see me, so I will try to update which order I am going in, which is chosen based on location of all of the houses. I am using an app to help me map this out. If you have moved and your address is not updated with the school, please let me know so I do not go and leave the bag at the wrong house! I am not sure on exact times I will be at each house since I am traveling to 23 houses. It’ll take a few hours to get to them all!

Where? Please use door 1, the main door, to get your items. Please stay in your car.

Everyone? Yes, everyone needs to come to get their belongings. I spent 3 hours today packing everything up.

Even though you’re stopping by our house soon? YES! I will NOT be bringing the items from the school. I AM ONLY bringing items I personally bought as a goodbye present for the kids when I stop by- planning Friday, June 5th for this.

What is included? Art projects. Module 2 math book we didn’t do. Math books with sticky notes are pages your child never finished during school. Pencil boxes. Hallway projects items. Papers that were written for writing. Most likely more I am forgetting at the moment. Etc.

Please make sure your child is completing activities for Media, Gym, Music, and Art. The special area teachers are giving their own grades for report cards.

This week is a 4 day week due to Memorial day today. Next week is a 5 day week. The week of 6/8 there will be NO new work assigned. If your child finishes will all assigned work by this point, they will be done with work for second grade. If they don’t, then they will be required to catch up this week.

This Thursday 11:30am-2:30pm will be pick up for your student’s materials. EVERYONE should come during this time. Anything left in the classroom that is theirs will be in the bag. A summer work book will be included in it too, if they arrive on time. I will be in the school Wednesday and may send a dojo message about something to you if I am unsure if it is your child’s or the school’s. When you come on Thursday PLEASE bring the book bag your child has been using and any library books you have at home! You should use the main door, but will have to stay outside. (Other grades are using other doors, so please be sure to check with the teacher if you have other children at Howard).

I still plan to stop by the week of 6/1 or 6/8. I am waiting for a few more small things to get shipped to me to complete their end of the year gift. I promise to give you an exact date closer to.
