Hi everyone! Happy week 2 from learning at home! As always, these plans are on Google Classroom for the kids to see and do. They can do most of it on their own! I know most of you have probably seen things about these days counting or not. Right now we are hoping they’ll count, so we are going to continue to learn as if they are.

YouTube: I am linking my YouTube channel here for you all. I will read a book, or part of a book, almost everyday. I will talk about vocabulary words and I will give you ideas of what to write about afterwards. Today I will upload a SPECIAL video with two SPECIAL people reading! Make sure to check it out.

Social Studies: We are still talking about communities! Today we will talk about cause and effect. Use the coronavirus or COVID-19 to do this. So the virus caused ____________. The effect of this is ____________. You can write this or type it. You do not have to use my sentences if you want to make your own!

Scholastic News: The Clean Water Warrior. Please watch the video, and listen to the magazine online. Please look at the vocab words and play the game, too. You have the magazine at home, so please complete the back of it!

Science:  I am including your mystery Doug link here! There is no hands on activity with it today. It does cover something very important though! https://mysteryscience.com/mini-lessons/germs-sanitizer?code=ad71db951e0e3fc727184a0798abbc7e

Math: Lesson 15 in your Learn book. It should have an application problem, problem set, and exit ticket. I will include the video we normally watch for the lesson here. You do not have any homework for Module 6 because we already ripped it out and it is at school. Check your sprint journal if there are any sprints for the lesson! Any day there are no sprints for the specific lesson, do a set of sprints from your OLD sprint journal, but DO NOT do module 2, please! Please continue to keep up on Zearn. You should at least be at the lesson we are doing each day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYrKTe7sDNM

Reading: You should read for AT LEAST 20 minutes with a BOOK. I know you should have books at home.. At least the ones I gave you every month. Some of you are wondering what will happen with the March book.. I have it for you and will get it to you when we go back to school! Yay 2 books in April!

RazKids: I will sometimes assign books or activities where you need to read the book out loud and it will record you so I can hear you. If I do not do that, please read any books you want on there. It IS telling me how you score on the quizzes… so please do your best. Today I assigned a book called: Spring Forward, Fall Back

Writing: Today’s Prompt: “If you could meet a famous person from the past or present, whom would it be and why?” I am also including more writing activities in different subjects. I also want you to write a chapter of a book a day. What does this mean? It means YOU are the author.. Like Mo Willems taught us!

Gym: Get outside!! Stay in your yard, go for a family walk, get some fresh air! If you cannot do these activities because of the snow/rain, try go noogle! GoNoodle: Home

Music: Remember the Fifty Nifty song I sang to you? I am putting it here for you to listen to and practice. First, people will be AMAZED you know all 50 states in alphabetical order. I still use this knowledge to help me all the time, even as an adult. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWGc6AZQlAE

Media: You are already doing it!

Art: Mrs. Thomas has 40 days of art on her blog for you to do. Mo Willems, who we have studied in class, is doing daily activities, as well. Mo Willems
