Hi everyone! Plans were linked to google classroom for the kids, but here they are for you! Remember food pick up is 10am-noon daily at any of the high schools and the following middle schools: McCollough Unis, O.L. Smith, Salina Intermediate, Woodworth.

YouTube: I am linking my YouTube channel here for you all. I will read a book, or part of a book, almost everyday. I will talk about vocabulary words and I will give you ideas of what to write about afterwards.

Social Studies: Talking about a community brings different vocabulary words. I am providing you with a Google Slides presentation template to write the definitions of each word. This will need to be turned in to me. On google classroom when you are done you will just hit the turn in button! Today’s words are:

branches of government

citizen

city council

civic responsibility

common good

community

core democratic values

Scholastic News: Spooky Skeletons. Please watch the video, read through your magazine, and complete the back of the magazine.  If you have a printer, your parents can print out the other papers to go along with it. If you do not have a printer, you can just write them on paper, type them, or discuss them with someone from home. IF and only IF your parents say so, try to build something out of q tips on paper. You can even glue them down. Make a skeleton of a person or animal!

Science:  Write a bubble map about spring. Put spring in the middle bubble and then put facts about spring on the outside. Maybe what happens to the trees, animals, weather, etc. This can help you with your writing for today!!

Math: Lesson 13 in your Learn book. It has the application problem, problem set, and exit ticket. I will include the video we normally watch for the lesson here. You do not have any homework for Module 6 because we already ripped it out and it is at school. Check your sprint journal if there are any sprints for the lesson- today there is!! Any day there are no sprints for the specific lesson, do a set of sprints from your OLD sprint journal, but DO NOT do module 2, please! Please continue to keep up on Zearn. You should be at the lesson we are doing each day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWCUwpjyWgs&t=6s

Reading: You should read for AT LEAST 20 minutes with a BOOK. I know you should have books at home.. At least the ones I gave you every month. Some of you are wondering what will happen with the March book.. I have it for you and will get it to you when we go back to school! Yay 2 books in April!

RazKids: I will sometimes assign books or activities where you need to read the book out loud and it will record you so I can hear you. If I do not do that, please read any books you want on there. It IS telling me how you score on the quizzes… so please do your best. Today I assigned a landforms book for science.

Writing: Today’s Prompt: “Today is the first day of Spring. Write everything down that makes you think of spring.” I am also including more writing activities in different subjects. I also want you to write a chapter of a book a day. What does this mean? It means YOU are the author.. Like Mo Willems taught us!

Gym: Get outside!! Stay in your yard, go for a family walk, get some fresh air! If you cannot do these activities, try go noogle! GoNoodle: Home

Music: Remember the Fifty Nifty song I sang to you? I am putting it here for you to listen to and practice. First, people will be AMAZED you know all 50 states in alphabetical order. I still use this knowledge to help me all the time, even as an adult. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWGc6AZQlAE

Media: You are already doing it!

Art: Mrs. Thomas has 40 days of art on her blog for you to do. Mo Willems, who we have studied in class, is doing daily activities, as well. Mo Willems
