About Me

Brian Kemian-Counselor

I am a graduate of Dearborn High School and  attended Henry Ford College and Eastern Michigan University earning a bachelors degree in instrumental music. I later returned to Eastern to earn an M.A. in guidance and counseling.

After graduation I worked for The Detroit Science Center in the Education/Outreach department, the Atlanta, GA public schools, Taylor schools and most recently in the Dearborn Public Schools. From 1999 to 2014 I  was assigned to Salina Intermediate School as a counselor and Band teacher and came to the Dearborn Heights Campus in 2015 to serve as the counselor.

Outside of school, I enjoy buying and selling antiques and collectables, repurposing flea market finds into new items and camping in the summer with my family. My wife Beth is a kindergarten teacher at River Oaks Elementary School and together we have three children, Catherine, Robert and Laura.
