Good afternoon!
Today I told the students about The Trade 10 Project. One of our standards in Social Studies is to understand the concept of trade and how it can get you some of the things you either need or want. The students will be participating in a trading activity and will need your help to prepare their objects.
I am asking each family to either make or purchase 10 (inexpensive) items of their choice for our trading game. Items do not need to be complicated, but should be fun and something your child thinks the other kids will want to have. All 10 items should be similar, for example 10 loom bracelets.
Here are some ideas:
- bookmarks
- loom bracelets
- homemade playdough or slime in containers
- necklaces
- signs for doors or door knobs
- pins
- picture frames made from foam or craft sticks
- magnets
- erasers
- pencils
You have ONE WEEK to prepare your items. All items for trade need to be brought to school on Monday, December 11. Please put items in a labeled gallon size Ziploc bag.
