Thinking Ahead…

Hello 4th Grade families:
As you may know, the 5th graders go to camp for three days in October!!!  All the kids get really excited about it, but it does cost some money to go.
We realize it could be a stretch for your family budget or something you may not be able to afford for your child. We want all the kids to go to camp next year and have a great time.
Traditionally the 4th graders have done some fundraising (a Dearborn Ham Sale, Bake sales, etc) to offset the price of the camp for those families that participate in the fundraisers.  We want to do that too!!!
At each fundraiser, whether you help a little or a lot, the profits from that fundraiser will be divided out evenly to the participating families.  We understand that each family has their own personal level of giving.
If you donate your time at or planning the event or something to sell at the bake sale, then your child will have some of the profit go to their trip.  A notice of each event will be given to Mr. May and Miss Julie after each event is finalized.  We want to YOU to participate!!!!
A few moms have gotten together to plan the first two fundraisers.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!  We are going to sell glow items at the Fall Festival  on October 10th.  There will be more info about times, etc very soon in the teachers blogs.
Paula Nedzinskas will be the coordinator for this event.  You can contact her at pcvlith@yahoo.comor 313-530-1609 (cell phone).
Our Second event will be coordinated by Kayla Parker.  It will be a Bake Sale  on Election Day for all the hungry voters!!!  You may contact her at:
313-671-4627.
We want your ideas as well as your participation.  Our goal is for all the kids go to camp next October!!!  It’s a BIG goal, but together we can do it!!!
Sincerely, Paula and Kayla
