Good evening!

  • LATE START tomorrow. 9:30AM arrival for all students. Breakfast is an hour later too.
  • PAJAMA DAY is tomorrow. If you’d like to wear your PJs, please plan to make a $1 donation to help victims of the hurricanes.
  • THANK YOU for your patience at dismissal time. As I scan the crowd, I try to find familiar faces as quickly as I possibly can. I’ll do my best to make sure your child gets to you as sooon as I see you. If someone other than an immediate family member is picking up, please remind them to show a photo ID. I’ll need to check and make sure they’re on your child’s Emergency Card.

Good night! Mrs. Coleman ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ˜ด

Good evening! A few notes for today:

  • Wednesday is a LATE START for all students. Line-up is at 9:30AM.
  • Wednesday is also our first school wide fundraiser. Students are allowed to wear their pajamas to school for a $1 donation. All funds will be helping victims of the hurricanes.
  • Please be sure to complete the daily homework assignments in the Homework notebook. Despite what the fine print at the bottom of the calendar says, I would prefer if you do not skip around. In other words, have your child complete the assignment for October 16 tonight.
  • Three things need to be sent to school and taken home daily: homework folder; Homework notebook; and book bag. Thank you for your help in reminding your child to be responsible for these items.

Good evening!

  • Tomorrow is FriYAY and we’ve got a very special Detroit Pistons assembly to attend! Our class will head down to the auditorium around 9:50AM. This will be our very first assembly.
  • Tomorrow is the Fall Festival. If you purchased tickets for the event, your child will bring them home tomorrow. They will be in a marked envelope.
  • It’s a half day (no lunch) with dismissal at 11:45AM. Please send a snack to school.
  • All but three students have a writing assignment (Bb) to complete at home. Students had a lot of time to work on this in class.
  • Book bags need to be taken home and returned to school every day. Mrs. Mardini and I met with small groups this morning and were disappointed by the number of students whose book bags did not come to school today.

Good evening!

  • Forgot to note that this Wednesday, October 11, is Picture Day! If you plan to order prints or a package, please send the envelope to school on Wednesday. I have not yet been given a time for our photos.
  • If your child brought home handwriting practice (Ee) or a Bubble Map (Dd) these assignments need to be finished at home and returned to school tomorrow. Most students turned in both assignments today.
  • I was disappointed by the number of students who either didn’t bring their Homework notebook to school, or did not complete last week’s 4 assignments. Assignments need to be completed nightly, and returned to school daily.
  • Be sure to check out the Book Fair flyer. Our class will visit the Book Fair on Thursday from 12:30-1:00. Please meet us in the Media Center if you wish to supervise your child’s purchases.
  • Donations for the Kindergarten Basket Raffle should be sent to school either tomorrow or Wednesday. The theme for our basket is Art Supplies. Thank you in advance for your donations! The raffle will take place at the Fall Festival this Friday.
  • Next Monday, October 16, is our First Quarter Parent Meeting. We will meet in the Media Center from 9:55-10:25AM to discuss reading and the report card.
