Sunday, February 7th

Good Evening!

We appreciate the continued support you’re providing for your children. We want you to know that we are working hard to maintain the standard of excellence in Mrs. Coleman’s absence. Here are a few notes/reminders:

Homework
Students are expected to continue their daily reading assignments, as Mrs. Coleman has assigned. A reading log was sent home on Tuesday. These will be collected by Mrs. Coleman when she returns. Weekly spelling words are assigned and it is the expectation that students will use the spelling menu to complete word work activities for homework each night (MondayThursday). New words are assigned each Monday, and a new menu was distributed to the students as well. Please remember to check the 3rd grade math page and 3rd grade science page.

Classroom Celebration
We sent a blog post out earlier this week about a Valentine’s Day celebration. On Thursday, February 11th there will be a celebration at 2:30pm. Please visit this link to sign up for donations: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0E4EA4AE2FA4FD0-valentine We still need someone to sign up for ice cream, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. If your child is bringing in  Valentine’s Cards a class list for Mrs. Coleman’s class can be found by clicking on the link: ColemanClassList15-16

We’ve been searching for NEW words to replace “said” in dialogue. Tonight when you read to self, please continue to search for interesting and descriptive dialogue tags. Write them on a post-it or in your planner. We will add them to our list tomorrow!
