I forgot to take a photo of my planner today! It should read as follows…
MATH: Moby Max
SCIENCE: No HW
SS: Share Today Show video with your family
READING: Read to Self, Reading Log OR MyOn
SPELLING: Day 3
Reminder: We have check-out tomorrow!
Third graders will be answering this very question in their latest writing assignment. Here’s a link to a video that we watched today in class:

Please note the following change in Reading: MyOn allows me to track both time spent reading and comprehension. Therefore, students may now elect to use MyOn in place of the weekly paper reading logs. If you’re not using MyOn on a daily basis, then please plan to submit the paper reading log on Friday. Thank you!
Good afternoon!
I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! Hopefully it will be warm enough for an outdoor lineup so that we can FINALLY hear Sofie’s announcement!
LEAD TIME: I’m excited to share Monday’s leadership assignment with you. We will be writing NEW goals, both academic and personal. In addition we will write resolutions and take a look back at 2016.
MATH: This week we will shift from area to studying perimeter. Also we will take a look at our goal for Addition and Subtraction Fact Fluency. Our January-June goal will be for Multiplication and Division.
SCIENCE: We will be wrapping up the Physical Science unit this week.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We’ll begin a new unit this week. In order to prepare for our spring trip to Lansing, we will be studying Michigan’s Government.
READING/LA: We will continue to work on reading and analyzing nonfiction text for one more week. However, tomorrow I have a really cool story that I’d like to share during D5C. This story gave me an idea for a project to brighten up our classroom and the hallway!
WRITING: We will begin working on writing an opinion piece. It has to do with the possible dangers of SLEDDING! Those who are still working to finish their essays about The Three Fires will need to do so during D5 rounds.
SPELLING: New words arrive tomorrow. We will also create our own Spelling Menu for this week’s activities.
SEE YOU TOMORROW! Mrs. Coleman
