Welcome to Kindergarten!

It was such a joy meeting my new students and their family members this morning. I hope you enjoyed your first day of school!

Thank you for visiting/signing up for my blog. I will be updating it daily. Thanks also to the families who’ve signed up to receive messages through the Remind app.

As a reminder… this week we are having a Soft Start. Kindergarten students will have lunch at 11:00AM and then be dismissed at 11:45. Please remember to send a snack and lunch for tomorrow.

Please remember to return the blue “Nicky” folder to school tomorrow. I’ll be collecting lunch forms, Student Information sheets, etc.

I’ve contacted some of our families regarding Beginning of the Year testing for all kindergarten students. Mrs. Stawara and I will use the next few afternoons to begin and maybe even finish testing our kindergarten students. I have 30 min. testing spots available starting at 12:30 and ending at 2:30 Wednesday-Friday. If I’ve not contacted you by phone or text, I’ll have my clipboard and sign-up sheets at arrival tomorrow. Thank you!

Bark at the Park

On Tuesday, Mr. Coleman and I took our dogs to Comerica Park for the Tigers game! Much to my surprise they were very well-behaved. They were rewarded with treats and toys! We made it through three whole innings before Leo started to get rambunctious.

Summer is Here!

It has been a wonderful year. Thank you for all of the memories. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching each and every single one of your children. They are all very special to me. Have a SUPER summer!

Tomorrow (Thursday)

Tomorrow afternoon, students will be allowed to quietly play board games in small groups. You may bring a favorite board game from home, or use one of mine. Card games would also be appropriate.

In addition, if you have a yearbook or autograph book and would like to collect signatures, then you may bring it tomorrow.

Finally, ALL lockers and desks must be emptied by the end of the day tomorrow. Be sure to bring a garbage bag if you are unable to empty your locker today. Only a few things should remain in your desk after today.
