Good afternoon!

Here are a few notes for today:

  • We are hoping for snow tomorrow! Why on earth would anyone hope for snow? Well, after reading a nonfiction text about The Science of Snow and studying Weather in Science, we are going to try to catch our own snow crystals. If you have a piece (or two or three) or dark cardboard or foam core board (about the size of a book) that we can use, please send it to school with your child tomorrow. I will provide magnifying glasses so that we can see the crystals better.
  • Tomorrow morning we will be joined by Ms. Michaelis, parent of a fourth grade student. She has offered to make Christmas ornaments for all the students in our school. When finished, the ornaments will be sent home.
  • Handwriting practice was sent home today. Students need to practice writing their First Last name- using upper and lowercase letters appropriately. They may highlight the uppercase letters if you have a highlighter at home.

Thanks! Mrs. C
