National Reading Month

National Reading Month begins tomorrow, March 1. I will be sending a calendar of activities to be completed at home.

If you’re interested in being a Guest Reader, please email me or send a note with your child. Read Alouds will be scheduled for 8:45 AM and 2:50 PM. Please limit your read aloud to 20 min. or less.

Finally, it has become a tradition for my husband and I to meet students and their families at The Henry Ford Centennial Library on a Saturday in March. This is an opportunity to first check out good-fit books, then socialize at a local restaurant. In years past we’ve gone to Senate Coney Island and Noah’s Deli. Please keep an eye out for more information about Library Day!

Reminders for Monday

I hope everyone has been enjoying this beautiful weather! It certainly feels more like spring break than midwinter!

I’ve included the spelling words for week. Perhaps some of you will want to get a head start on your activities. Please be sure to copy the words into your planner.

Looking forward to seeing all of you next week! 😎

Just want to send a special shout out to my Accountability Partner… Thank you for calling me to find out how I’m doing with my W.I.G. this week! Your words of encouragement mean a lot to me!

Thanks also to Ulysses and Miley for bringing your W.I.G. displays to school to share with us! They look GREAT!
