It has been a long couple days of M-Step testing! The good news is that most of us are now 2/5 done with testing! Only Math and Science remain (Tues. – Thur. next week).

I will not be assigning any homework this week or next, however if classwork is not finished in class, then it will need to be finished at home.

This Friday is our Pep Rally(2:30), as well as 80s Dress-up Day ($1 donation to Relay for Lide), and make-ups for Spring Pictures (for those who were absent Monday).

Good evening families,

As you know, tomorrow marks day one of M-Step testing. Please make sure that students go to bed early tonight, and eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning.

Testing will begin at 9AM. I had thought that we would go to lunch at 12:30, however I’ve just received word that the lunch schedules will not change. Lunch will be at 11:30.

We will take Day 1: Part 1 in the morning. We will take Part 2 and complete the Class Activity in the afternoon.

Students will go to gym at the end of the day from 2:30-3:15.

Our fourth grade students will begin M-Step testing this week with ELA on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s very important that students are well-rested, well-fed, and relaxed for these tests. We will have a break half way thru the AM testing sessions during which time students can have a snack and use the bathroom.

Please try to arrive at school on time. Testing will begin promptly at 9AM.

Our lunch will be a little bit later than usual on test days.

I will be looking for two Reading Response Journal entries on Monday from 4/22 and 4/24. Any student who has not completed these assignments will make a phone call home. I will no longer be sending home the weekly Check-In sheets.

Please read to self this weekend and complete one Reading Response Journal entry. The Word of the Week (jostle, OR any interesting word you found in your good-fit book) is due on Monday as well as Analyze a Newspaper Article (SS).

We will take a multiplication quiz on Monday. Please return your quiz from 4/14 on Monday with corrections.
