Today is the last day to come to River Oaks and pick up learning materials. Please pull up to the school, stay in your car, and a staff member will bring you the learning materials. This will be going on from 10am to 12pm,May 6th 2020.

Hello Everyone,

I have spoken to a lot of parents who say their kids miss hanging out with their friends or cousins. The HouseParty App is a great free app that has games that kids can play with other kids while doing a video chat. You will have to make sure that you have the app and so does your child’s friend so they can add each other.

This app is a great way for kids to virtually hang out with their friends while maintaining social distancing. Parents that have gotten the app have reported that their kids have really enjoyed it and it helped them socialize in a healthy way.

*Disclaimer- You need to make sure to “lock the room” when in the app so no one else jumps in the game. This is a social media app so I recommend that kids play in an area where parents can monitor them to be safe.

We are asking that parents pull up to the school and stay in their cars, so we can distribute learning materials. Staff will have mask and gloves on for both your protection and ours.
