Green Tie Live on June 2nd

Please help us honor the Dearborn Public High School graduating class of 2020 on June 2nd at 5pm during the Green Tie Live event, that will be live-streamed on the Dearborn Education Foundation Facebook page. For those unfamiliar the Dearborn Education Foundation, this is a non-profit organization that helps directly fund student scholarships and classroom grants for Dearborn Public Schools.

This event is usually done in person every year and serves as a scholarship gala for students. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic the event will be live-streamed through the facebook page and we want everyone to tune in so we can support our graduates. This is the least we can do to show our support since these kids have already had to give up a graduation and prom.

Green Tie Live will include special shout out videos from celebrities like Debra Messing, Kristen Doute, Miss Michigan 2019, and many more!

Growth Mindset

Growth Mindset: People who believe their abilities can be developed from hard work, practicing will lead to developed skills, and receiving feedback from others.

Fixed Mindset: People who believe they are not capable of developing skills and/or changing and will always stay the same.

What can we learn from Growth Mindset?

A growth mindset teaches us that challenges are opportunities for us to grow, learn, and focus on the improvements that we make. We need to learn from our mistakes and practice to be able to build skills and talent. Every person in this world is a teacher -where they teach someone something and is a learner-where we learn from others.
