First Day Hooray!

What a fantastic first day we had today! It was so nice to meet the my new group of 3rd graders.

Don’t forget to turn in the interest survey found in your child’s yellow home folder. Also, the supply list can be found in the flipbook. Supplies are due Monday.

Here are some photos from today!

Thank You!

I just wanted to thank all of the mothers who helped in my surprise party today!

As you saw, I was completely surprised and overwhelmed by your kindness and appreciation.

How did I not find out about the surprise??

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This year has been such a wonderful experience with your children. I’ve felt very supported by all of you as I became a part of the McUnis family!

This Week- Homework & M-Step

Hello families!

Happy first week of M-Step!

Below is this week’s schedule for M-Step- 2 days only!

Reading M-Step:

Tuesday, May 9th: 9-11 a.m.

Thursday, May 11th: 8-10 a.m.

*We are no longer testing on May 10th due to a writing curriculum meeting that I have.

Due to testing, there will be no homework this week.

Your child should still read for 30 minutes. If you want your child to continue to practice, log on to iLearn through the District website and go to the course called “Test Prep.”

Also, make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep before the test and has a substantial, healthy breakfast. Please make sure they are at school on time these days.

If you have any questions, leave a comment below!

Thanks!

Spelling Week 20

This week, everyone has the same list. Your child will need to know the difference between the plural and the possessive form of each word.

I will give them a sentence like “There were 10 bicycles.” They will need to write the correct form of bicycles. Later on, I will say, “I had to fix my bicycle’s flat tire.” They will then spell the possessive form of the word.
