Happy Tuesday:

I’m glad everyone had a fun and safe 4 day weekend.  Everyone wrote about their favorite thing from the 4 day break and it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time 🙂

Homework tonight:

1. Practice for the upcoming math-a-thon on ILEARN
2. Read for 15 minutes
3. Complete a weekly spelling activity- all 4 activities are due on Thursday.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and break.  Remember there is no school tomorrow or Monday.  I will see all of you on Tuesday 🙂

Homework:

1. Practice your math facts using either moby max fluency or your flash cards.
2. Read for 20 minutes each day.
3. Complete 2 weekly spelling activies.

Happy Thursday!

Today the students took their reading NWEA test.  A few students need to finish their NWEA reading and/or math test tomorrow but the majority of the students finished.  We will be writing their scores in their planners tomorrow so that you can see how they improved this year 🙂

Homework tonight:

1. Math test tomorrow- the study guide went home last week so make sure you are practicing for the test (especially look over the story problems and how to explain/justify your thinking).
2. Spelling test tomorrow.  The words are under last Friday’s blog post if you need them again.

Today was an exciting and busy day!  This morning we went to the Dearborn Historical Museum for our final field trip of the year.  When we came back, we had a picnic style lunch in the gymnasium and then got to do field day for the remainder of the day.  A special thank you to the parents who attended the field trip and/or helped at field day.  It’s because of you that we are able to do all of these wonderful events for the children 🙂

Homework tonight:

1. Practice moby max math for 20 minutes.  We start NWEA math testing tomorrow so make sure you go onto moby max math tonight to practice!
2. Complete a weekly spelling activity.

Next week we have a VERY busy week:

Monday: High Velocity all school field trip.  Wear an Oakman shirt if you have one and make sure you bring a packed lunch and wear gym shoes.

Tuesday: Field trip in the AM to the Dearborn Historical Museum AND field day.  We will be on the field trip from approximately 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and then we have field day the rest of the day.

Wednesday: NWEA testing begins.  The students voted unanimously and we will start with NWEA math on Wednesday.  We will continue testing for Math and reading on Thursday and Friday.
