Homework tonight:

1. Read for 15 minutes using the books in your reading bag
2. Complete a weekly spelling activity

Homework:

1. Go for a nature walk this weekend and find three items in nature (ex: pine cone, flower, etc.)  One item should be smooth, one item should be rough, and one item should be small.  We will use these in class on Monday.
2. Complete a weekly spelling activity.

1. Practice for the spelling test tomorrow.  The words are written on Friday’s blog post and they are in your child’s planner.
2. Practice for the math test tomorrow.  I have reopened the math study guide link because several students said they wanted to practice again tonight at home.  Click this link to get to the study guide https://app.edulastic.com/#renderResource/close/NDMyNzk1MDYz
   1. Some families have contacted me because they are having trouble accessing the study guide.  Here are step by step instructions:
      1. Click on the link above
      2. Click sign in with google
      3. Type in the 200 number I wrote in blue ink in the front of your child’s planner.  This is not the ZEARN password- this is a completely different website.  At the end of the number you need to add @dearbornschools.org
         1. For example, if my number is 20108900 then I need to type in 20108900@dearbornschools.org into the username.
   2. I also sent home the unit’s exit tickets yesterday that can be used to practice for the test tomorrow.

School reminders:

1. Popcorn is for sale tomorrow by the PTA.  It is 50 cents a bag.
2. Oakman school shirt order forms are coming home today.  If you are interested in ordering a shirt please fill out the order form and send in the money with your child.

3. Coach Southers has sent home gym homework- it is due back next Tuesday.  It is called “Human Body Series: Cardiovascular System”

IMPORTANT: Tomorrow is late start.  Be at school at 9:25 for line up.  Breakfast begins at 9:00 AM

The students received their planners today.  In the front is their 20 number and their password for clever.  There are also instructions for signing into ZEARN.ORG  This is a wonderful website that goes with our new math curriculum.  Students can practice their math facts at home to prepare for tests 🙂
