Homework for this weekend:
- Science- students are to fill out the matter scavenger hunt. Look for 10 or more items around your house or neighborhood this weekend that are either solids, liquids, or gases. Make sure you write each item in the correct column and answer the two questions on the bottom. This is due on Monday.
- Read from your reading bag for at least 15 minutes every day.
- Complete a weekly spelling activity

Happy Thursday:
Homework for today-
- Math homework worksheet 2.6 over measurement. We have been working on measurement for the past 2 weeks. Every child was given a paper ruler last week to keep in their homework folder. If your child has lost their ruler you may print another copy here printable ruler
- Our spelling test is tomorrow- please practice your words again this evening
Notes for tomorrow:
*Tomorrow is popcorn day. You may purchase a bag of popcorn for 50 cents.
*Tomorrow is the last day to return your assembly post cards and receive a free gift. Remember in order to receive the prize you must fill out every page of the booklet and include names and addresses.
*Robotics club applications are due tomorrow.

Homework for tonight:
- Finish spelling activities- all 4 due tomorrow
- Math: Practice your math skills on Zearn or MobyMax

If you have an Ichat form approved in the office please let me know if you would like to chaperon on a field trip. Ichat forms take about a month to process. So, if you don’t have one on file in the office, please stop by the office and fill one out!
We need to have chaperons for field trips. Last year, 2nd grade, had to cancel student field trips due to lack of chaperons. I am hoping this will not happen again this year. Field trips are an out of school education opportunity for all students!
Tuesday 10-2-18
Homework for tonight:
- Math homework 2.4 over measurement.
- We are working on measuring with centimeters and meters this week. If you would like to help your child at home you could have them measure items for you around the house. The more the students practice measuring, the better they will get.
- Complete a weekly spelling activity.
- Read from your reading bag for 10 minutes
