Procedures for Evaluation:
Grades represent the level of student mastery of state/district standards covered at the time of progress report.

Each class/homework assignment provides an opportunity for the students to practice the skill presented in class. These assignments make up 20% of the grade.
The remaining 80% of the grade will consist of summative assessments such as projects, essays, and unit exams.

Late Work will be marked down.  NO LATE/MAKE UP WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT OR A WEEK BEFORE THE END OF THE MARKING PERIOD.
Absences – Students with excused absences will have time equal to the number of days absent to complete work missed.  It is the student’s responsibility to obtain make up work.

The two grade categories will be mathematically averaged and a grade is assigned based on the scale below.
