Objectives sheet/ The Three philosophies

Today we went over the objectives sheet and what will be required for us to know for the exam ( content / vocab skills/ essential questions)

Students worked in pairs to read and annotate the handout which contained information about

We discussed why these philosophers and their philosophies emerged.

We discussed our responses to the questions and expressed our thoughts on each idea. We also discussed the effect they had on each dynasty and present day Chinese culture/ society

We will complete a brief 20 minute formative on illuminate on the monotheistic religions . You will read an article and answer related questions which will assess different skills such as identifying main idea, identifying evidence which supports the claim, understating words in context , understanding cause and effect etc.

The we will continue learning about the Qin, Han Dynasty, and other Chinese Dynasties using a new strategy.
