Today’s feature pet is our ball python, Nagini. He is between 4-5 feet long. It’s hard to tell for sure because he rarely straightens himself out. He likes to curl himself up, and this is where the name ball python comes from.

Nagini eats live prey so we feed him live mice once a week. He is a constrictor snake which means he strangles his prey and then swallows it whole. He moves very slowly in his tank and when held, but when it’s time to eat, he moves at lightning speed.
