To my dear and loving students,

Well, I never thought this day would come. But here we are. So we are going to make the best of it, and as Queen Elizabeth famously said, we will “Keep Calm and Carry On”.

Your Civil Rights Research Project is posted to my Google Classroom. You all have your topics, and have started your research. Please continue to work on your project and complete the Slides according to the directions on the rubric.

I will be available via email to answer any questions that you may have about your project. I have full confidence that you will be able to complete this assignment and learn all of the fascinating information about your civil rights topic.

Additionally, I would like you to continue to do SSR. I will be at Fordson until 10:30 this morning if you want to come and check out any books from my library. I will be posting links in a different blog post for e reading options, as well as electronic resources for you project.

If you have any questions at all, please email me and I will respond as soon as I can.

Please check your email periodically as the district may send communications throughout our time off. I will do my best to update my blog two or three times a week, so please check back here as well.

Take care of yourselves, and please spend some time with your SSR books over the next 4 weeks.

Ms J
