And the winner is….
Zeinab Elhagehassan in third hour! She is ready for her close up…
Many of you fell prey to old bad habits…meaning you did not answer the question I asked, but rather the question you assumed I asked…go back and re read the challenge. No where does it say that I am looking for a quote by DeMille…but one based on him…a subtle difference, but one that is worth 11 bonus points…Zeinab got an extra bonus on top of her bonus for being a super smarty pants.
I applaud everyone who gave it a shot…stay tuned, this won’t be our last cultural terms gauntlet…but for now, Zeinab deserves kudos from you all.
See you in the morning!
Who is paying attention??
The first person from each class who correctly EMAILS me (in the proper format) the famous quote based on cultural term #5 AND where is comes from (not where you found it, but where it comes from) will earn 10 bonus points.
GO!
How many books have YOU read over break???
I read 3… The Double Bind, The White Princess and Company of Liars. All very very good.
I am so angry at ALL of you…
I just watched Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief…WHY DIDN’T ANY OF YOU WARN ME THAT THEY CHANGED THE WHOLE STINKING MOVIE.
Seriously, I am so mad at all of you. This has been the worst betrayal of my life…you all let me go and rent this movie with out even a HINT that NOTHING in the book was put in the movie…why would you do that to me???
Somebody, in some literary letter, at some point, should have told me of this travesty…everything is ruined now. I will never trust any of you again.

PS…the Age of Innocence is my favorite…you wanna talk about doomed love…
If you are interested in taking Yearbook next year, please see me on Monday.
Second Hour, hang on to the triple entry journals I gave you today. You don’t have to do them, we’ll do them in class on Monday.
In case you need some ideas…
