Class Info

The Michael Berry Career Center is offering a Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement program for students interested in public safety careers including police, fire, EMS, corrections and legal aspects. Courses are designed to prepare students for a career in public safety and to have a working understanding of what the field requires.

This two year program consists of four semester long courses. The first year students have a two hour course and the advanced students have a one hour course. During class room sessions students will have lecture and hopefully soon hands on experience. Some of the work will be modeled after classes taught at the various local police academies. Students will also have guest speakers to include FBI agents, Attorneys, and a host of other individuals to expose the students to the many fields available to them for their future.

Once school is back into in person sessions, students will be encouraged to participate in Skills USA to compete against other students and to show the skills they have obtained in this class.
