Thank YOU!

Dear Families, We just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful amazing google hangouts session earlier today, it was so great to see those smiling faces that we have missed so much. We will continue to host google hangouts sessions once a week at the same time as today. We wanted you to know as well that this isn’t one of those “educational meetings” this is just a chance for your children to connect with other kids from Kids Club and share stories about what everyone’s been up to. We understand if things are tough right now and you are unable to make it though. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy! Have a great weekend! 🙂

  3. Oil
  4. Water

3.an Oven (depending on the size of what you made) along with adult supervision obviously.

unfortunately gravity sort of took effect but my tiny clam knick-knack holder came out still okay.

Welcome Back, Howard Dragons!

Welcome Back Howard Dragons!

We hope that you had a relaxing week off despite the unusual circumstances. For those who celebrated the recent holiday, we hope it was relaxing and enjoyable. We want you to know that on Friday, April 17th at noon we will be hosting a google hangouts session. This will be a time to just check-in, say hi, see how everyone’s doing, and exchange stories. We hope that you can join us! 🙂 I will be posting the link to the google hangouts later on in the week, we just wanted you to be aware.

A couple of other things we wanted you to be aware of that is happening throughout our district. Below is the contact information within the district that is available to you if needed:

General information 313-827-3006 or communications@dearbornschools.org.

Social-emotional hotline 313-827-8500 or dss@dearbornschools.org

Parent Tech Support 313-827-8400 or parenthelp@dearbornschools.org

Student Services 313-827-3068 or mashhoi@dearbornschools.org

Special Education 313-827-7050

Lastly, the food drive is still going on in the district however the district will be having a fewer meal distribution to make it easier for families to have access to food while reducing the risk of virus exposure for both families and staff. The days are as follows: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each bag will still contain both breakfast, lunch, and milk for a child under 18, but now it will have food for each day until the next distribution. It will continue to be handed out between 10 am and noon at the same seven schools. The schools are as followed: Edsel Ford, Dearborn and Fordson, McCollough/Unis, Salina Intermediate, Smith Middle School and Woodworth Middle School.

Spring Break Updates!

Happy Friday Howard Dragons!

It’s the Friday before Spring Break and we just wanted to touch base with you. We trust that you are safe and healthy during this time. Next week is Spring Break and just like if we were in school we all have a week off. With everything that has happened in the past couple of weeks, I’d encourage everyone to take some time off and spend it with your families, we also want to let you know that we will not be posting anything during spring break. We will be back after Spring Break!

Take Care,

Miss Marisa & Mr. Bryan

Dear Parents,
We will begin the process of refunds in the coming weeks. We realize that some of you will return to our program next year in 2020-21, some of you will not, and some are undecided.

If you would like your CREDIT to remain on your family ledger for the 2020–21 school year please email our billing secretary, Laura at billingech@dearbornschools.org

This credit can be used towards your registration and your payment until the credit is used. If we do not receive an email by April 15 we will begin working on refunds at that time. The amount of your credit can be sent to you. Everyone will receive credit for March 13 forward if you paid for March.

Miss Marisa & Mr. Bryan

Refunds for the rest of 2019-2020 School Year

Greetings Howard Families,

Something to pass along, from the billing department. Now that Governor Whitmer has ended the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, we will be working on refunds for those who paid all of March or the entire 2019-2020 tuition. Please be patient as we work with the school district and our software provider to begin the process.

Take Care,

Paper Flowers for Loved Ones with Mr. Bryan!

Greetings all hope you’re staying safe during these difficult times. For a little bit of fun, I wanted to share this a little tricky but entertaining project. It uses a little bit of origami folding along with a lot of patience to make this entertaining paper flower.

So I took pictures of my attempt at some of the steps and it clearly did not go as planned. But at the same time, it was a happy accident that I made my own flower. Anyway, I hope you all have some fun!
